Why can’t I sign up? It says I’m not allowed to use this board.
Your ISP, e-mail, or domain is banned. It’s prolly because your area has been known to spam SRWG with fake accounts. Some European countries as well as Russia are among the unfortunate to be banned from signing up. Also, sometimes registrations are disabled. If you are interested in signing up despite closed registrations, you may leave a comment here. Ask NICELY and leave your desired username and your valid e-mail. You’ll be pre-registered and your password will be e-mailed to you so you can log in.
Why can’t I post or log in? I have already signed up.
Your account isn’t validated yet. Leave a comment here with your registered username so I can check and validate it myself.
I have signed up for an account. I waited but nothing happened.
Your account may be pruned/deleted because it’s suspected of being a spam account or it isn’t validated yet. We have many cases like that, I apologize. Leave a comment here containing your e-mail and username that you signed up with. If it’s in the list, I’ll validate it. If it’s not, I’ll pre-register you and send to your e-mail your password so you can log in.
I have signed up and was able to log in before, but now I can’t.
Your account was pruned/deleted due to dormancy. It means you have not made at least 2 posts. 1-post accounts or 0-post accounts get deleted and I perform this deletion monthly as part of the “account database cleansing” process. Leave a comment here and I’ll re-register you.
Why do you prune/delete accounts? Isn’t lurking allowed?
Lurking is allowed, but spam accounts aren’t. I can’t tell if a 0-post account is a spam account or a genuine lurker (other than proven e-mail spambots). So if I delete your account, it’s either by accident or I dunno that you’re here in SRWG to lurk.
How do I prevent my account from being pruned?
Post frequently. It can’t get any simpler than that.
I have a friend who wants to sign up but can’t. What can I do?
Leave a comment here with his/her desired username and e-mail. I’ll pre-register him/her.
Can I have 2 or more accounts?
No.
Can I rename my username?
No. Admins can’t change your username so think of your username carefully and decide before signing up.
Can I delete my account and register a new one?
It depends on the situation. If coding in your account causes problems, we’ll prolly allow you (it has happened before). We’ll have to investigate first though.
How is registering 2 accounts illogical?
Most people with 2 or more accounts are usually insecure troublemakers. They’re the type that are afraid that they’ll lose access once they get banned and their 2nd account will serve as backup and they’ll masquerade as a different person. If you’re clean there’s no need to be scared and manage 2 or more accounts. If you enjoy doing this then you’re weird, insecure or have split personalities. We’ll label you crazy.

I’ve been trying to register on srwg.org for quite some time (3 months and away), and after I saw an topic at GameFAQs, someone explained that some e-mail providers are banned from here, so here I am. If you can pre-register an account for me, I would be glad.

Hi Daba. I’ve been a member in your forum for quite a while now. its just recently when I went to the forum and I got a notification that my A/C was suspended till 18/19 of August. I have no idea what I do in regards to post as I do not think I spam at all or even offend anyone in there.
Please if possible let me access your forum again or at the very least, let me know what is it that I do that get my A/C banned.

That means you didn’t check your e-mail that you registered in SRWG. Your account was suspended because of the violation of the avatar/sig rules. Check your e-mail and see the message for yourself.

I apologize regarding the avatar. I will change it once I can gain access to your forum again. Regarding the E-mail however, I did not receive such E-mail what so ever from you. I even check the Junk mail to make sure but not there either.
Anyway, I again apologize about this its another lesson learned.

Hi there, Daba. I tried to register today (after I went to the forum and pre-ordered my copy of Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation Gaiden Limited Edition) through there, I just thought I’d give it a go and register the forums. But when I tried, i’d simply get an error message that reads:
“The board administrator is no longer accepting any new registrations at the moment.”
Why is that? I just didn’t find any kind of explanation for that on the forums, and still can’t find why is that. If you could provide me an answer, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Oh, sorry about that, I forgot to mention in this blog that I shut down registrations atm because I don’t have time to approve them (I’m busy for this month, especially on my Psoriatic Arthritis treatments). Oh and I wanna thank you very much for pre-ordering!

hey daba my account was banned.. and i guess it must be because of a sig/avatar violation from what i read above, i didnt get any notification in my mail though so i kinda realized it too late, i hope there’s reconsideration on unbanning my account thanks..

I just hope this proves that I ain’t bullshitting around when I said “follow the rules”. Alright, since I’m feeling generous at this start of October, I’ll unban your account NEXT WEEK, Oct. 8 because I’m off to do rehab for my Psoriatic Arthritis. I’ll inform Aslan or Frost in case they’ll unban you earlier but I highly doubt it, they’re more busy than me.
Just to make it clear, I rarely get THIS generous because people who don’t follow my rules piss me off big time. You had BETTER not do it again.

I’ve been try to sign up now for a while. When I’ve made an account, I’ve waited for the validation e-mail, but never received it. After waiting, I tried to login, and it has let me, but the next time I try to login, which has not ever been more than 1-2 days later, my account has been deleted. I never got a real chance to post if that is the reason for the repeated deletion (heh, rhyme), and it doesn’t seem that I’ve violated any of the rules, so if you could clear this up for me, that would be extremely helpful.
Hmm… it seems IF has the validation e-mail bug again.
I want to clear it up that if you violated any rules, the board would have said “you’re not allowed to use this board” (which is, being banned). My assumption is that I made an error when I pruned accounts, and I must have pruned accounts AFTER you got validated. I’ll need to check the pruning criteria again just in case.
Please leave me your desired username and password AND give me your username that you signed up with. If I don’t find your username, I’ll pre-register you and e-mail you. If your username is there, I’ll reply something here so you’ll have to check back.

Me, like some other people that posted here, has the problem that some e-mail providers are banned from the registration process. Even if I waited for the 10 minutes (Even more), the verification mail didn’t appeared. These are the username and the e-mail I used during registration.
